There are four categories for writers each with 3 prize categories:

grades 1 & 2      grades 3 & 4      grades 5 & 6      grades 7 & 8

Theme: In and Around Sooke, “Where I Live”

You live in the area of Sooke, East Sooke,
all the way to Port Renfrew:
write a story or poem that takes place in that setting
or is about the area

Inspiration: look at the places, people and animals around you
- on your street   - at the beach   - in the forest   - on the boardwalk
 - in your community    - at the playground etc.
